After much searching, I found a bug (in some third-party code) that prevents saving for people with non-ASCII characters in their home directory. This should be fixed in the latest release.
Hi! Sorry to reach out to you like this. I couldn't find any other contact information.
When I was a young child (say, 8, maybe 9) I absolutely adored Wrath of Darkness. It was the highlight of the time with my foster family and my foster brothers and I would spend hours every day shooting spiders and slimes and all that.
I am now an adult, and finally managed to remember the name of the game we played so much together. My brothers (also all adults now) and I managed to get it working on my PC.
However, we keep getting stuck in the first area. Doors don't respond to any interaction, we can't go anywhere, and the gate at the end of the hallway doesn't "work" either. We can't go into any rooms or progress any further!
Is there a fix for this? We'd love to play the game again together, now we're all about a decade and a half older!
In any case, thank you for making a really cool part of my childhood!

Instantly loved this game.
After playing for a while, sadly, found out that saving doesn't seem to work. Tried both versions for windows.

Let me know if this fixes the problem for you.
Thank you for replying and for the new version, works great!

I see the problem. Working on a fix right now...
Wow, thank you so much! I didn't expect a reply this fast! I'm so excited to play the game in full again!
Just pushed out a fix. Hopefully it'll work now.
Wow, that was fast! I just bought it - it works perfectly now. I'm gonna play this for the next 10 hours. Thank you so much!
